Comments/Problems:
## 1) language bug
I choose german for the installation and i discover english messages during the
raid-config.
("The RAID1 array will consist of both..." & "You have choosen to create a
RAID1...")
But, I tried it again with the Daily Build of today (Tue Sep 23 09:33:05 UTC
2008) and there was everything in german. (I tested the i386-Version. I can't
check the amd64-version.)
## 2) softreset failed (device not ready)
At the boot of Debian i got "softreset failed..." messages:

4.1.3 20080623 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.2-23)) #1 SMP Thu Aug 28 11:13:42 UTC
2008
With the Kernel "2.6.25" i didn't get these messages.
I uploaded about 2 TB of data on this machine and I don't get a soft-reset
during the upload. I discover this only at the boot.
## 3) raid resync
Is it necessary to resync the new raid _at_ the installation? It took more than
12 hours to check my software-raid.
Sep 20 20:41:43 mdcfg: mdadm: array /dev/md2 started.
Sep 21 08:54:00 kernel: [50499.929621] md: md2: resync done.
(Normally I don't wait at the installation until the raid resync is done.)
## 4)
At the boot of Debian i got this warning (?):
...
Aperture pointing to e820 RAM. Ignoring.
Your BIOS doesn't leave a aperture memory hole
Please enable the IOMMU option in the BIOS setup
This costs you 64 MB of RAM

We are closing this installation report for one of the following
reasons:
- it was reported with a pre-lenny version of Debian
Installer.
- indications in the installation report give the feeling that
the reported problem waslying in another software, unrelated to
D-I, which we can't easily identify.
- indications in the installation report suggest that it may have been
fixed in a more recent version of a D-I component
- it was successful and we forgot closing it..:-)
- it has no information we consider useful
The D-I team is currently in the process of cleaning out the old spool
of installation reports that haven't bene processed yet.
In case you think that the problem you reported has chances to be
still present, please reiterate your installation test with
a more recent image of D-I, if you're in position of doing this.
You'll find daily builds at
http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer. We recommend you choose
the netboot image, in the "daily builds section", then choose to
install "squeeze" when prompted.
If some problems are found, please report them with a new bug sent
against installation-reports.
Many thanks for your understanding and your help improving Debian,
past and present.
