I think you can answer those real quick. 1) debconf debconf/frontend select Dialog Can I set it to something like "Noninteractive"? Otherwise the installer complains about it, because I'm doing unattended installations 2) After the base installation, the /etc/apt/source.list is set to stable, but I'm installing sarge. As a result I'm getting conflicts with the newer packages from the base installation. those are my current settings d-i mirror/http/directory string /debian/ d-i mirror/http/countries select US d-i mirror/http/proxy string d-i mirror/http/hostname string ftp.egr.msu.edu d-i mirror/http/mirror select ftp.egr.msu.edu d-i mirror/ftp/directory string /debian/ d-i mirror/ftp/countries select US d-i mirror/ftp/proxy string d-i mirror/ftp/hostname string ftp.egr.msu.edu d-i mirror/ftp/mirror select ftp.egr.msu.edu d-i mirror/suite select testing d-i mirror/protocol select ftp d-i mirror/country string US base-config apt-setup/uri_type select ftp base-config apt-setup/country select enter information manually base-config apt-setup/hostname string ftp.egr.msu.edu base-config apt-setup/directory string /debian base-config apt-setup/another boolean false base-config apt-setup/non-free boolean false base-config apt-setup/contrib boolean true base-config apt-setup/security-updates boolean true There is probably a base-config option where I can select the suite. --- Begin Message ---We are closing this installation report for one of the following reasons: - it was reported with a pre-lenny version of Debian Installer. - indications in the installation report give the feeling that the reported problem waslying in another software, unrelated to D-I, which we can't easily identify. - indications in the installation report suggest that it may have been fixed in a more recent version of a D-I component - it was successful and we forgot closing it..:-) - it has no information we consider useful The D-I team is currently in the process of cleaning out the old spool of installation reports that haven't bene processed yet. In case you think that the problem you reported has chances to be still present, please reiterate your installation test with a more recent image of D-I, if you're in position of doing this. You'll find daily builds at http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer. We recommend you choose the netboot image, in the "daily builds section", then choose to install "squeeze" when prompted. If some problems are found, please report them with a new bug sent against installation-reports. Many thanks for your understanding and your help improving Debian, past and present.
