In particular, the root.bin image is 1491588, whereas a floppy can only hold 1474560 bytes. This means that root.bin is 17028 bytes too large for a standard 1.44 floppy. -derek -- Derek Atkins, SB '93 MIT EE, SM '95 MIT Media Laboratory Member, MIT Student Information Processing Board (SIPB) URL: http://web.mit.edu/warlord/ PP-ASEL-IA N1NWH [EMAIL PROTECTED] PGP key available --------------------------------------- Received: (at 114425-done) by bugs.debian.org; 31 Oct 2001 16:45:41 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Oct 31 10:45:41 2001 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from arroz.onshored.com [216.220.101.2] (postfix) by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.12 1 (Debian)) id 15yyUn-0004wh-00; Wed, 31 Oct 2001 10:45:41 -0600 Received: from arroz.onshored.com (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by arroz.onshored.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id A7F4A93E48; Wed, 31 Oct 2001 11:45:51 -0500 (EST) Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Chris Tillman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Fwd: boot-floppies_3.0.16_alpha.changes INSTALLED References: <20011030195218.A660@Obsession> Organization: onShore Development, Inc From: Adam Di Carlo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: 31 Oct 2001 11:45:51 -0500 In-Reply-To: <20011030195218.A660@Obsession> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Lines: 18 User-Agent: Gnus/5.0808 (Gnus v5.8.8) Emacs/20.7 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Chris Tillman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: > Just a note: I didn't see bug #114425 get closed, probably cause it was > mis-typed in the changelog: > Changes: boot-floppies (3.0.16) unstable; urgency=low [...] > - sparc: fix a rather crippling build error; sparc build is > AOK now, so we can get rid of the ancient 2.3.6 version there were > using; closes: #11425, #116092 It's closed now!
