Package: partman-base

Tested with partman in d-i daily build image from 2010-09-07.

When one forces a GPT label, the partitions are apparently created
without any alignment, instead of "optimal" aligment.

I tried using the "guided partitioner", as well as trying to do it
manually. I used gdisk to check the starting sector of each partition.

The same operations on a msdos label work well and align to 1MiB.

The partitions were created on a virtual-io disk, under a libvirt VM
(kvm, latest stuff in squeeze).
