Hi,
For item 1, I update grub-common and grub-pc to 1.98+20100720-1 and then
to 1.98+20100722-1.
I have no error message, Grub detects two HDD and the system reboot well
for two versions.
The file "/boot/grub/device.map" contains:
(hd0) /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-1ATA_WDC_WD2500JS-75NCB3_WD-WCANK9433395
(hd1) /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-1ATA_WDC_WD2500JS-75NCB3_WD-WCANK9409087
It would be nice if rescue mode can successfully mount the root folder
with a "/dev" usable.
Regards.
