Not exactly "rare setups" when someone using a US keyboard did choose French, German, Italian, etc. as language. There are gazillion of people in these places who think it is much smarter to use a US keyboard (I don't and I think this is a snobbish attitude, but still..;:-)) The same stands for people choosing English as language but use a Germand/French/whatever keymap. These folks also can't use g-i.
