Hello folks,
We finally released our first release of Debian Installer since
Lenny. However a bunch of work is being hold in SVN, or ready to be
pushed.
I've uploaded some packages that looked to have important changes ready
for upload but would be good if people could take a look and upload
ready packages.
One very urgent package is busybox since it includes the needed changes
for netcfg to properly work (yes, I forgot it when uploaded netcfg, it
would have been done first). I plan to do a test with updated kernel
packages tomorrow and depending how it looks upload it.
During this week I also plan to check how parted 2.1 works with
installer. So we can upload it to unstable as soon as possible. parted
2.2 is almost ready and this solves important issues specially regarding
partition notification to kernel.
A last point. Please when uploading something that deserves a note in
the announcement, please add a reference text in the wiki.
