Any difference in doing this regarding the terminal setup? For sure, I've tried it again by choosing to run a shell under d-i environment (BusyBox), then mount my /home partition and cat some Thai text files. And it works. To be more precise, some characters are really missing, which can only be found by catting a test message file (Thai version for the quick-brown message). 7 rare characters, 10 Thai digits, and 4 Thai punctuation marks are missing in total. > 2) Did you also try it in the very early stages of the installation? I don't know how I can do this. Any way to escape from the d-i UI other than switching to other virtual consoles, which are not in directfb mode?
