It would be nice to be able to skip certain steps in d-i without having to go to the main menu and invoke the individual other steps manually then. I'm well aware of preseeding options like "d-i passwd/make-user boolean false" but it would be nice to be able to skip e.g. the user account creation within its *interactive* interface during runtime as well. In this particular situation I had to set up a system without any (non-root) local users (they're configured via LDAP later on) but wanted to run through all other steps of d-i. An additional "skip" button in the dialogs where it could make sense to just skip it would be nice-to-have from a user [interface] POV. regards, -mika- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
