Package: console-setup Version: 1.45 Severity: important Tags: l10n --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Whatever settings I try - I cannot enter important characters like @ (AltGr + Q) ~ (AltGr + +) | (AltGr + <) or even: {[]}\
this is a problem within TTY or GTK applications. In KDE (4) apps the AltGr key works as desired. Maybe, these informations can help: - when I type AltGr + Q twice, I get a list of known hosts (as if I type @ and 2xTAB) - same problem is there when I use the (clickable) virtual keyboard of KDE. - "less -" reports that instead of plain "@", an ESC is sent before. This means the ESC is triggered additionally before the desired @ character is sent. Did I mention that I own a straight 105-keyboard, just QWERTZ. --- System information. --- Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-5-686 Debian Release: squeeze/sid 500 unstable www.debian-multimedia.org 500 unstable ftp.us.debian.org 500 unstable ftp.spline.de --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ===============================-+-=========== debconf (>= 0.5) | 1.5.28 OR debconf-2.0 | console-terminus (>= 4.26) | 4.28-1 xkb-data (>= 0.9) | 1.6-1 Recommends (Version) | Installed =================================-+-================ kbd (>= 0.99-12) | 1.15-4 OR console-tools (>= 1:0.2.3-16) | Suggests (Version) | Installed =======================-+-=========== lsb-base (>= 3.0-6) | 3.2-23 locales | 2.10.1-5 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
