"trust" is the wrong word here. Currently I would not like you to do a release without me being involved on the sideline simply because we never got around to discussing what is involved in doing/managing a release. However, I definitely do trust you in the sense that I know you're aware of that and thus would always coordinate/check with me beforehand. If I were to, as they say, step under a bus and someone else would be forced to take over, you are IMO the best qualified person to do so. You know the build system well, have actively followed commits and releases so you know a lot of what's involved even if we never discussed the details, and as a bonus you're also a translator and are thus very familiar with that side of it. I would still love to see you take a more active role when it comes to actually maintaining the manual (both editing and RM), but the initiative for that has to come from you.
