I know very few about the handling of the kernel in D-I but I noticed this while trying to build linux-kernel-di-i386-2.6 (while testing the scripts/buildscript script):
dpkg-checkbuilddeps : dépendances de construction non trouvées : linux-image-2.6.26-1-486 linux-image-2.6.26-1-686-bigmem (OK, French messages but you probably get the point) Shouldn't we switch to 2.6.28-1 kernels now? --
