Machine: VMware Fusion Processor: 1 Memory: 384Mb Partitions: guided, full disk, single partition Output of lspci -knn (or lspci -nn): Base System Installation Checklist: [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it Initial boot: [O] Detect network card: [O] Configure network: [O] Detect CD: [O] Load installer modules: [O] Detect hard drives: [O] Partition hard drives: [O] Install base system: [E] Clock/timezone setup: [O] User/password setup: [ ] Install tasks: [ ] Install boot loader: [ ] Overall install: [ ] Comments/Problems: - Installer window can be moved around by holding ctrl-command and dragging. This is easier than you think when using VMware and trying to escape the window, and it's quite confusing. - Graphical Automated Install asked for preseed location (eg www.emdebian.org) and seemed to download ok but base system install failed with: Debootstrap Error Release file signed by unknown key (key id B5B7720097BB3B58) which I note is referenced in the preseed file ala: d-i apt-setup/local0/key string http://www.emdebian.org/0x97BB3B58.txt - This apparently works for Neil Williams (copied): http://lists.debian.org/debian-embedded/2009/02/msg00007.html Otherwise looking good - much improved!
