Package: tasksel Version: 2.75 Please consider removing hotkey-setup from the laptop task. It's a fairly simplistic implementation, in some cases based only on the manufacturer of the system. AFAICT the definitions are now in most/all cases also covered by HAL in a more fine-grained manner [1].
Recent updates to hotkey-setup all seem to have been to fix breakages it caused. I don't see any changes to support new models. IMO the generic cross-distro solution is much to be preferred over something Debian-specific here. It seems to me that hotkey-setup was very much needed for previous releases, but that general Linux desktop support has overtaken it.
