Looks for ISO file systems, which may be on a CD-ROM or on the hard drive. This sounded to me as if iso-scan would only look on the [primary] hard drive, but it looks on any hard drive (including external hard drives connected via USB). Also, there should be no distinction between CD-ROM-s and other optical disks.
