Howdy,
How far did you get in the installation procedure? Did you see
this message after installing the base system, installing LILO to
your hard drive, and then rebooting?
According to the devices.txt file included with the kernel
sources, device 08:03 corresponds to /dev/sda3. That is, the
third partition on the first SCSI drive. On which partition is
your root partition located? Which kernel flavor did you use
(vanilla, compact, idepci, or udma66)?
