There have to be good reasons to switch though. smail used to be our standard, but exim was clearly a better choice: it was a lot easier to configure and performed better as well. I don't see a reason to change that default again: exim is easy to configure, extremely flexible, has good documentation, performs very well and has an excellent security record. The fact that postfix is a viable alternative is not enough to change a default imho.
