IIRC, the boot floppies use modconf. When building new boot floppies
using the modified modconf and the (slighty) modified boot-floppies
package (see the patch I submitted as bug #70639), everything works
fine for me (at least it worked at the time I submitted the patches,
didn't try since then)...
