When I recently tried potato, it complained about the 4GB harddrive in a
466MHz celeron system (eMachine eTower 466is):
hda: status timeout: status=0xd0 {Busy}
hda: no DRQ after issuing WRITE
ide0: reset success
after disk intensive operations (like booting up). I then swapped disks
with a 400MHz system with a 6GB-slink drive (eTower 400id), which had run
without a complaint for a year:
I put the 4GB-potato drive into the 400MHz system and still saw the
messages.
I put the 6GB-slink drive into the 466MHz system and didn't see any error
messages. I left the 6GB-slink drive in the 466MHz system and did a fresh
install of potato on it today. Now the error messages are back.
The problem seems to be potato. Any ideas on how to fix it?

(FWIW, when I installed potato on 4GB/466MHz via CD, I did see:

ATAPI device hdc:

I didn't see this when I installed potato on the 6GB via ftp/http.)
Thanks for any help!
