After seeing the inittab I thought so, too. Looks like there should be
something on tty1 tty2. I tried it, but no activity on any vc. The
kernel is not hung, because I saw that apm was working. As David suggested
it might be because necessary devices are not in /dev. Which ones
would I need to start up busybox?
