Hello,

I have looked into the possibility of booting from the CD-ROM using
GRUB. The possible advantage is that the user can choose
which kernel to boot from.

After some research, I discovered that grub seems to be unable to
use the result used by "find".

i.e. We have to guess where the CDROM drive exists.

I guess that CD-Rom drive could be anywhere from
(hd1) to (hd3).

Maybe I am wrong.

"find" will search for the device which a file exists,
and echo back the device name.

On another topic, has anybody started adding support for
installing "GRUB" from the boot-floppy for linux-i386?

Does the HURD boot-floppies have this feature of installing
grub?

regards,
        junichi
