DAC960 needed

Would it be possible to have DAC960 support built-in to kernel-image
vmlinux-2.2.18prexx, it is now there as module.

compact has DAC960 built-in but it misses other important stuff like
ipx, ncp etc...   In addition it has that horrible fbcon.
