I honestly couldn't tell you. I'm only reporting the errors which I
see when I use the i18n boot-floppies. If you don't believe me, get
the images from
http://alpha.onshore.com/~apharris/debian/dists/potato/main/disks-i386/2.2.18-2000-11-18-i18n/
and see for yourself.
I looked into it myself to see what the deal was and I couldn't figure
out why it was failing.
All I can say is that it is very annoying. No matter what language
you choose, you will get the keyboard failed message. No way can I
ship the system in that state, and I *really* wanna ship i18n
boot-floppies.
