Because that's how I have it on my production boxes and it works fine.
According to the documentation, 'uname -n' is for node name, not for
FQDN.

Even my sparc/solaris box box, 'uname -n' merely reports the machine
name without the domainname.

I'm prety convinced this bug is invalid.
