Package: boot-floppies
Version: 2.2.7-2000-02-13

I've been attempting to use the "frozen" install disks to install
Debian on a machine that uses a Mylex RAID controller.

Since the stock boot disk didn't support the necessary hardware
I compiled a custom kernel and created a new boot disk - still
using the normal root.bin.

It boots fine and dboostrap starts up, lets me select my keyboard
and moves to the disk partiioning selection. cfdisk works fine
repartitioning the disk. However when returning to dbootstrap it
aborts with the following message:

dbootstrap: fdisk.c:544 : fdisk_add_partition: Assertion
'partition->name' failed.  Aborted

Then restarts dbootstrap - which aborts with the same message and
restarts...

This happens every time dbootstrap checks the disks and finds linux
partitions. If I flip out to a console I can quite happily mount/umount
the raid disks (eg mount /dev/rd/c0d0p1 /target) and whatever.

If I wipe the disk and start dbootstrap again it lets me select
keyboard and re-partition but then fails again.

Any ideas?

My research indicates this bug is identical to bug 61861
(<URL:http://cgi.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?archive=yes&bug=61861>)
and has been fixed as of boot-floppies 2.2.11.

I'm closing the bug but please do test the newest version (2.2.16) and
let us know if you have still having the problem, and we will gladly
reopen this bug. IN that case, please also send us the contents of
/proc/partitions.
