And it seems even after bringing up X there are some remaining issues to solve. I've tried the backport of telegram-desktop 1.8.15-2~bpo10+1 and it crashed pretty soon with shared memfd open() failed: Die angeforderte Funktion ist nicht implementiert shared memfd open() failed: Die angeforderte Funktion ist nicht implementiert shared memfd open() failed: Die angeforderte Funktion ist nicht implementiert (telegram-desktop:6028): libayatana-appindicator-CRITICAL **: 07:33:42.793: app_indicator_set_icon_full: assertion 'IS_APP_INDICATOR (self)' failed (telegram-desktop:6028): Gdk-CRITICAL **: 07:33:43.812: gdk_window_thaw_toplevel_updates: assertion 'window->update_and_descendants_freeze_count > 0' failed [swscaler @ 0x7f342fc570] No accelerated colorspace conversion found from yuv420p to bgra. Sorry for German locale above. It says something like "The requested function is not implemented". So how can I get some more modern kernel on this cute machine? ;-) Kind regards Andreas. -- http://fam-tille.de
