Hmpf, only 2 GB of RAM. I'd like to see 16 or 64. Or put an SODIMM socket on the board so you could plug in what you want. I generally consider RAM size more important than CPU speed.
As far as the dead SD, have you tried formatting it in a phone or camera, then bringing it back to Linux? But really dead so even dd won't write to it?
