Just to avoid possible misunderstandings: is u-boot 2016.11+dfsg1-3 really the u-boot version that is used to boot the system? The u-boot/u-boot-sunxi packages provide u-boot images, but they don't automatically install them to the boot area, so it is possible that although the u-boot-sunxi package is installed in version 2016.11+dfsg1-3 the u-boot that is actually used for booting is another version.
