Actually, I think I was being forgetful, your issue sounds like it could well be: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=803476 which had slipped my mind. That doesn't quite fit with the original 804351 issue, nor the one Martin reported from the QNAP forums though. > Ian.
