this is hilarious. above is a screen-shot of 5 instances of rdesktop running on the little odroid-u2 on which xrdp and xfce have been installed (size of the odroid-u2: 45mm square PCB). just a reminder: the odroid-u2 is running with 2gb of RAM and it's a quad-core 1.7ghz ARM Cortex A9. it has 3 USB ports and 1 RJ-45 for 10/100 ethernet. it takes eMMC modules and a Micro-SD card - hardkernel.com sell $25 8gb NAND eMMC modules and $80 32gb ones. only the fact that i didn't set up swap space onto a NAND partition (so as not to destroy it in short order) nor ran a USB HDD swap partition (because it's in storage somewhere) stopped me from running 10 or more sessions. each new user added about 150mbyte of RAM to "top". yes that's xfce in each of the 1024x768 rdesktop sessions. load average at idle is showing around 4 (there are 4 CPUs so that's 100% CPU on each, at idle). firefox and libreoffice are running in each session. so it's pushing the limits, but definitely doable. l. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-arm-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
