(should have replied to all, sorry Steve :) armhf is compiled with these flags by default: -mfloat-abi=hard -mfpu=vfpv3 -mthumb -march=armv7-a Reg. the softfp/hardfp options, I'd suggest removing them altogether from makefiles, the compiler default should suffice all of the times.
