Apparently installing the SDK is enough to give you Linux root, so
probably yes.
An AU seller sold around 6,000 of these yesterday -- SOLD OUT, just like
most other places around the world that is clearing them out. Best Buy,
mentioned in another reply have ZERO left as well.
You will now find these on eBay with many buyers of clearance stock
trying to double or triple there money very quickly.
