In order to get mx53loco officially supported, we need to address the issue you comment about base of RAM. As it was picked 'mx5' sub-architecture, in order to get mx50/mx51/mx53 into one image. Getting proper *mainline linux kernel* support is required and addressing RAM base address is an important topic. It looks like the magic to accomplish that is related to a couple symbols: ARM_PATCH_PHYS_VIRT and RUNTIME_PHYS_OFFSET, which since 2.6.39 or above have experimental of support, not sure about exact details.
