I do not understand what you mean, as this is used by ubuntu (I noticed when I installed one last week for my brother) so It seems all right. Or maybe I missread what was in grub's menu.lst I'll have to check.

Any particular reason you want to write your own program > rather than extend this one? Hum, in fact I do not want to write my own, but when I tried his I felt uncomfortable with the use of a unix socket as it cannot be reached from outside the NAS, which may be seen as better. But we could use an option to have it listening on lo instaed of any interface for this, and then get rid of the hand removal of the existing socket when the programm is killed (or crashes as it happend to me) Neither did I like the use of a "library" and threads while there's only one thread. But this has changed in the new version. Though, it now uses Lua wich will require lua installed on the NAS only for a fairly simple programm controling two leds and buttons .... I'll ask Byron Bradley about this, but I'd like to have your point of you on this too. I also added uucp locking for the serail port. -- Nathael Pajani -- ED3L [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tel : 06 19 35 33 91 http://www.ed3l.fr -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
