Hi, The latest upload of regina-normal (4.4-1) is failing to build on arm because of a crash in the test suite [1]. I tried to reproduce the problem in the sid chroot on leisner.d.o, but I couldn't even get past the first few files in the build:
g++: Internal error: Killed (program cc1plus) Please submit a full bug report. See <URL:http://gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html> for instructions. For Debian GNU/Linux specific bug reporting instructions, see <URL:file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.2/README.Bugs>. This is a relatively resource-hungry build (C++, heavy templates), but the place where g++ dies on leisner is well before the worst of it. I should note that the autobuilder got much further (in fact it built everything, it was just the final run of the test suite that crashed). I'm not sure what the situation is with arm -- are there some machines that are unsuitable for building large packages (and, if so, is leisner one of them)? Anyway, at this point I'm at a dead end, since the only arm machine I have access to is failing with a g++ internal error. However, I really would like to get to the bottom of this (not least because AFAICT arm is keeping the new upstream out of testing). Is there anyone with a reasonably beefy arm box who would be able to try building regina-normal, and if it crashes in the test suite just like the autobuilder, send me a gdb backtrace? The binary to run should be regina-normal-4.4/testsuite/.libs/regtestsuite, and you may need to add regina-normal-4.4/engine/.libs to your LD_LIBRARY_PATH. Btw, please CC me on any replies since I'm not subscribed to debian-arm. Thanks! - Ben. 1. http://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?&pkg=regina-normal&ver=4.4-1&arch=arm&stamp=1196577165&file=log -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
