I don't think it is a IPv6 problem.
I think that it has to be an IPv6 problem because of the following log messages that you posted to debian-boot: Apr 14 13:25:00 base-installer: Err http://ftp.se.debian.org etch Release.gpg Apr 14 13:25:00 base-installer: Could not create a socket for 2001:6b0:e:2018::137 (f=10 t=1 p=6) - socket (97 Address family not supported by protocol) [IP: 2001:6b0:e:2018::137 80] Apr 14 13:27:01 base-installer: Ign http://ftp.se.debian.org etch Release Apr 14 13:29:02 base-installer: Ign http://ftp.se.debian.org etch/main Packages/DiffIndex Apr 14 13:31:03 base-installer: Err http://ftp.se.debian.org etch/main Packages Apr 14 13:31:03 base-installer: Could not create a socket for 2001:6b0:e:2018::137 (f=10 t=1 p=6) - socket (97 Address family not supported by protocol) [IP: 2001:6b0:e:2018::137 80] Apr 14 13:31:03 base-installer: Reading package lists... Here a part of my syslog from a later try with another mirror: Apr 16 22:00:51 base-installer: Could not connect to ftp.nl.debian.org:80 (1.0.0.0), connection timed out
It looks like the installer has lost DNS for this mirror.
In this log, did you get any messages like the ones previously? It could be that the system is unable to resolve the address, because of the IPv6 issue. Gordon -- Gordon Farquharson -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
