Many packages won't cross compile due to using autoconf which is braindead when it comes to allowing cross compiling. Removing the extra ';' from thunderbird allows the package to build. Still waiting for mozilla to finish compiling although I expect it to work given nvu worked after making the same change to its copy of the mozilla source code.
