I have been in contact with George France at Compaq's Cambridge labs, and he says that he is getting a small supply of ipaq seed units. He talked with some Debian people at ALS and ISWC about getting some to Debian, but hasn't heard back.
It sounds like the seed units are in short supply, so someone should get in touch with him about them. He also has some ARM based machine (Sharks) which might make decent build engines. He says that the units will all be allocated soon, so he should hear from someone soon.
