Found the problem with init.d script:

bible$ egrep ^PidFile /etc/apache2/* -r
/etc/apache2/apache2.conf:PidFile /var/run/apache2.pid
/etc/apache2/apache2.conf.old:PidFile /var/run/apache2.pid
/etc/apache2/apache2.conf.old.phpmyadmin:PidFile /var/run/apache2.pid
/etc/apache2/httpd.conf.me:PidFile /var/run/apache.pid
bible$ sudo rm /etc/apache2/apache2.conf.old /etc/apache2/httpd.conf.me
bible$ sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
Forcing reload of web server: Apache2apache2: Could not determine the server's 
fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName
apache2: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 
127.0.0.1 for ServerName
