As a data point for PHP bugs, which frontend did you use to upgrade? apt-get, dselect, aptitude?... I'm trying to hunt down under what circumstances libapache-mod-php4 gets pulled in (works for me), and under what circumstances it doesn't (seems to be exclusively an aptitude problem... unless you tell me otherwise). ...
