Package: libselinux1 Version: 3.8-3 Severity: serious Tags: ftbfs upstream Justification: fails to build from source (but built successfully in the past) X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-amd64@lists.debian.org User: debian-...@lists.debian.org Usertags: x32
libselinux1 fails to build from source on x32 due to some impossible-to-satisfy static assertions in matchpathcon.c. I do not know the correct answer with certainty, but I believe either the asserts are too strict on x32, or the api/abi for matchpathcon_filespec_add is simply wrong. As this is essentially an upstream bug, I have also reported this upstream to selinux @ https://github.com/SELinuxProject/selinux/issues/463 . Incidentally, and more directly debian-related, and possibly but not really related to https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1063329, neither branch of USE_LFS will currently result in a successful build on x32 either, as neither variant of the asserts are correct on that arch. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: x32 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386, amd64 Kernel: Linux 6.12.15-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU thread; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages libselinux1 depends on: ii libc6 2.40-7 ii libpcre2-8-0 10.45-1 libselinux1 recommends no packages. libselinux1 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
