I've been using a Athlon64 X2 4200 for some time now, and the virtualization with KVM is awesome. Just have to compile the correct modules, and bang! everything working. But still dont know how if kvm (or any other "virtualizator") can use threads... after all, is a dual core! ;-)

I looked at Turion 64 dual-core laptops briefly before buying the desktop Athlon64 X2. There were some Turion 64 dual cores without the virtualization assist, but I think they all have it now.
