Every board I have looked at at least offers a dos tool you can use from a bootable dos floppy to flash the bios. Some boards can also flash if the floppy is simply fat12 and contains the bios image since they have a flash util in the bios. I believe a few can even flash if the bios image is on a cdrom, but I can't find anything to backup that thought.
