Could that be done in a non-silent way? Because if the root partition is encrypted, then not having BRLTT in the initramfs can be a bit annoying so I htink users should be told that if they upgrade, then they won't have BRLTTY in their initramfs and that, if they do want to have it, then for the time being they should downgrade. Not sure how easily implementable this is. Seb.
