Hi list, First time subscribed, though I've dipped in and out of the list and looked back for about the last year and see many names I recognise.
I'm thinking of presenting a talk in Cambridge this year on accessibility. I did a lightning talk last year which covered the idea that accessibility exists and is important but couldn't cover more.. I know a little about WCAG and documenting accessibility: I was wondering about demonstrating screen magnifiers / Orca or other accessibility features available in GNOME or text only. I'm not myself severely visually impaired - although I work with colleagues who are, I don't have direct personal experience. My wheelchair is an irrelevance here :) Seeking the thoughts of the community here as to whether this might be an appropriate topic. If so, what would be a good minimum set of things that it would be useful to highlight in thirty to fifty minutes? If you wanted me to show five things and leave the audience with three things to remember, what would they be? If demonstrating these things is inapprporate from me: what would the community here want me to concentrate on? With thanks for your help and best wishes as ever Andy Cater (amaca...@debian.org)
