I suspect it has to do with using either MBR or UEFI and how the BIOS is set for that. Glenn ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jude DaShiell" <jdash...@panix.com> To: <debian-accessibility@lists.debian.org> Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2023 8:00 PM Subject: lesson learned
For any interested in installing a system with screen reader accessibility don't do what I did. It took me most of a day to reverse but I finally got it reversed. On no account choose lvm and entire disk in disk partitioning. I got that system installed fine, but once booted never got a screen reader to come up and speak. I don't know why this is the case now, but there it is for any interested. A friend I have suggested using lvm since I use larger disks so I tryed it this once and lesson learned. -- Jude <jdashiel at panix dot com> "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
