Well bummer, I ran the below command and got a zero, so I know that the machine I wanted to put a hypervisor on, won't do VMs. egrep -c '(vmx|svm)' /proc/cpuinfo If the output is greater than zero, you can install a hypervisor. My target Linux machine gave me a zero.
