Hey Jude et al, > I don't know, I've never been able to see a screen to read such a message.
I filmed the boot up (with no desktop or GUI) using a digital camera, and hand transcribed the boot up message. ---- Start boot messages ---- /dev/sda1: clean 22018/1831424 files, 370595/7323904 blocks [ 4.088119] [drm:radeon_pci_probe [radeon]] *ERROR* radeon kernel modesetting for R600 or later requires firmware installed [ 4.088166] See https://wiki.debian.org/Firmware for information about missing firmware ---- End boot messages ---- I could log in to a console window successfully. Then it rebooted *by itself*, and I got some other hardware messages. Let me know if you need those, I'm shimming the floors of the house I am renovating, so I'll have to do it later.
