Hi. I just fired up a new kali linux system here and I have a real puvver of a problem. For some reason, even with the speakup_soft module loaded I cannot get espeakup to work.
I just looked into it and found that something is wrong with espeak in debian testing. It is version 1.8.something, I cannot be sure right now. It won't even install correctly when uninstalled and reinstalled in order to see what happened. The package won't install and I missed why because I was only able at the time to preserve part of the error message on my terminal.
I wonder if this is in kali only or if it is in debian testing. Since they pull their packages from testing, I wonder if it would be ok for someone to check out that package and find out what's wrong with it. I have orca working perfectly on this system, but I cannot seem to get espeak going because of this bug.
