Hello Øyvind, The Jessie installer has xfce as the Debian desktop, which isn’t accessible by default, because gnome-orca doesn’t get installed with the xfce task. There has been a discussion on this in the past, and for some strange reason, the xfce team wouldn’t have orca installed with the xfce desktop.
I suggest that you install a standard system, then install the “task-gnome-desktop” package, which will poll in all you need, including the Orca screen reader. Hope this helps. Regards, Martin
